Financial Incentives Save You Money
on Replacement Windows
A Directory of Rebates, Tax Credits and Low Interest Loans
In 2011, the federal government, along with many
state and local governments, have set aside money to encourage you
to upgrade your old, drafty windows with new, energy-efficient replacement
windows. These financial incentives generally come in three forms.
Rebates give you a discount on the cost of installing replacement
windows. The rebates are usually a percentage of the cost up to
a maximum cap. Tax credits give you a break on your income
taxes when you install replacement windows. And low interest
loans help you get financing to pay for the project. Sometimes,
these loans are interest-free. Check out the directory below to
see if there's an incentive program in your area.
